Concrete shrinks as it dries. Restrained by the ground, it cracks. The industry's standard response is to control that cracking with saw-cut joints, mesh reinforcement and extra thickness.

PrīmX Steel Fibre Reinforced Self-Stressing Concrete (SFRSSC) takes a different route. A controlled early expansion, restrained by steel fibres, puts the entire slab into compression. When shrinkage follows, it consumes that compression instead of creating tension.
